Zibi Designs (Pty) Ltd (“Zibi Designs”, “we”, “us”) is a creative and digital solutions agency based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa. This policy explains what personal information we collect through zibidesigns.co.za, why we collect it and how we handle it. We have taken the principles of South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) into account in writing it.
Information we may collect
When you complete our contact or quote request form, email us, call us or message us on WhatsApp, we may receive:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number
- your company or business name
- details of your enquiry or project, including the service you are interested in and your estimated budget (if you choose to share it)
We do not collect payment card details through this website. Like most websites, we may also receive basic technical information through analytics, such as your approximate location, device, browser and the pages you visit.
Why we collect it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes and proposals, deliver services you have asked for, and communicate with you about your project. We do not use your enquiry details for unrelated purposes.
How enquiries are handled
Form submissions are sent by email to our business mailbox (info@zibidesigns.co.za) and are read by the Zibi Designs team. We keep enquiry information for as long as it is reasonably needed to respond to you, carry out any resulting work and meet our business and legal obligations, after which we aim to delete or anonymise it.
Sharing and sale of information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it only with service providers who help us run the website and our email, or where we are required to do so by law, and only to the extent necessary.
Communication
We will use your contact details to reply to your enquiry and to follow up on work you have requested. We will not send you marketing newsletters unless you have asked for them, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects aggregated usage information to help us understand how the site is used and improve it. Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google servers when a page loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work, although some analytics will not be recorded.
Third-party links
This website links to third-party services and websites, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, X and client websites shown in our portfolio. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies before sharing personal information with them.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information we hold, including secure transmission of form submissions and restricting access to our business mailbox. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, to access it, to correct it, or to delete it, and you may object to our processing of it. To make a request, email info@zibidesigns.co.za. If you believe your information has been handled unlawfully you may also contact South Africa’s Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
